Among them, Medina Azahara and the Mosque-Cathedral stand out as two essential monuments for understanding the political, cultural, and artistic importance of the city during the Middle Ages. While Medina Azahara was the sumptuous palatine city built by the Umayyad caliphs in the 10th century, the Mosque-Cathedral represents the historical evolution of Córdoba through the coexistence and layering of Islamic and Christian traditions. Both sites have been recognized by UNESCO for their exceptional heritage value.

What to See During the Visit

This experience combines a guided tour of the two great symbols of Córdoba’s Andalusian past. In the morning, you will explore Medina Azahara with a specialized guide, discovering emblematic spaces such as the Rich Hall (Salón Rico), the North Gate, and the former administrative quarters of the palatine city. In the afternoon, the visit continues at the Mosque-Cathedral, where you will admire the famous forest of columns and arches, the maqsura, the mihrab, and the Christian elements added after the conquest of the city. A complete journey that allows visitors to understand the historical evolution of Córdoba through two of its most representative monuments.

Important information

• Children must be included in the reservation, as their ticket will be required when entering the monument.
• Be at the meeting point 10 minutes before the tour begins.
• Please note that this product includes TWO guided tours and each tour departs from a different meeting point.
• The departure time varies depending on the booking option chosen. If you choose the option with transport from Cordoba, you must be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the time indicated on the voucher. If, on the other hand, you decide to go to the site by your own means, wait for the guide at the shuttle bus stop and do not go up to the site on your own.
• Ticket to Medina Azahara is free for European Union citizens. For visitors from outside the EU, the cost is €1.50 per adult, payable at the ticket office.
• During periods of high demand, bookings are subject to availability. The amount will be temporarily held until confirmation. We will contact you within a maximum of 72 hours (sooner if your selected date is approaching).

Cancellation Policy

• Up to 48 hours before the visit: 11 euros per person for cancellation or change fees.
• Less than 48 hours before the start of the tour: no changes or cancellations are allowed.
• Cancellation charges are effective from the moment the reservation request is made.
• To request changes or cancellations, you must communicate them in writing to the following e-mail address: soporte@mytoptour.es.

Meeting point

• Guided tour of Medina Azahara:
  • If you choose the bus option from Cordoba, you must be at the Paseo de la Victoria bus stop (Glorieta Cruz Roja), in front of the Eurostars Palace Hotel, 10-15 minutes before departure time.
  • If you decide to go by car, you should be at the site a little before the time indicated on the voucher. You will have to leave your vehicle in the Medina Azahara car park and wait next to the shuttle bus stop. Do not go up to the site alone, you will have to wait for the guide to arrive with the rest of the group from Cordoba.
• Guided tour of the Mosque of Córdoba:
  • Departure at 4 pm at the door of the Tourist Information Office of the Congress Palace (C/ Torrijos, 10), next to the benches
